1. Identify the positive and negative terminals on both vehicles. Open the hoods and locate the terminals. Generally, the positive terminal is indicated by a red “+” sign, while the negative terminal is marked with a black “−.”
2. After identifying the terminals, proceed to connect the booster cables as follows:
– Attach a **RED clamp** to the **positive terminal (+)** of the DEAD battery.
– Next, connect the other **RED clamp** to the **positive terminal (+)** of the BOOSTER battery.
– Attach the **BLACK clamp** to the **negative terminal (−)** of the BOOSTER battery.
– Finally, secure the other **BLACK clamp** to the negative terminal located on the engine of the vehicle with the DEAD battery. Many vehicle models have a designated grounding bolt marked with a (−) for this specific purpose.
